As a young girl growing up in Brooklyn and Queens, the public library was my creative oasis. It wasn't just a hangout spot for me but a place where my imagination could run free. I would walk up and down aisles and aisles of books hoping to discover my next fictional adventure. When I searched for books I was more concerned about the story and less on the illustrations. I paid more attention to the book titles and the synopsis on the back covers. It was like the book covers were small ads enticing me to read the imaginative tale that was sandwiched between its covers. Little did I know that years later my interest in reading and creative writing would lead to my interest in a career as a copywriter. Besides writing poetry, I enjoy cooking, blogging about fashion, and tennis. I’m also a huge science fiction buff and an avid concertgoer.
